STATEMENT OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the only infallible, authoritative Word of God, divinely inspired of God Himself for the revelation of God to man.  (II Tim.  3: 16, Hebrews 4:12, I Thess.  2: 13, II Peter 1:21)

WE BELIEVE that there is only one true God revealed in three persons: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  This one true God is the creator of heaven and earth and all mankind.  (Matthew 3:16,17, Deut.  6:4, Genesis 1:1,27.  Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22)

WE BELIEVE in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His Virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles and His vicarious and atoning death through the cross of Calvary where He shed His blood for the redemption of mankind.  His bodily resurrection from the dead and ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His persona1 return to power and glory.  (Matthew 1:23, Hebrews 7:26, Acts 2:22, I Corinthians 15:3,2, I Corinthians 5:21, Matthew 28:6, Luke 24:39, Acts 1:9,11, Acts 2:33, John 20:24-29, John 14:1-6, Romans 8:34, Matthew 24:27-30.  Revelation 1:7)

WE BELIEVE that man in his natural state is a sinner…lost, without hope and without God and absolu1ely needs regeneration by the Holy Spirit.  Man receives salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God and through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance toward God.  By the renewing of the Holy Spirit, and being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life.  Eternal life and bliss (heaven) are for the saved and eternal punishment (hell) for the lost and separated from God.  (Romans 3:20-23, Galatians 3:22, John 3:3.  Romans 10:13-15, Eph. 2:8, Titus 2: 11, Titus 3:5-7, Matthew 25:34,41, 46 Luke 16:19-31, Revelation 20:11-15)

WE BELIEVE the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.  (Isaiah 53:5,1, I Peter 2:2~, James 5: 1~-16, Mark 16: 18, Mark 11:23)

WE BELIEVE the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity, who convicts men of sin, regenerates the repentant believer and guides believers into all truth.  The Holy Spirit gives gifts to believers, that they may minister as Christ would to men.  We believe the manifestations of the Holy Spirit shall operate in churches which yie1d to the Lord Jesus Christ and who desire His manifestations.  (John 7:37-39, Acts, 1:4,5,8, Acts 2:3948.  Acts 10:44-47, Acts 19:1-6, Luke 11:13, John 7:37-39)

WE BELIEVE the baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to believers who ask for it.  With the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we are endued with power to be a witness for Him, along with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance.  (John 7:37-39, Acts 2: 4-8, Acts 1:8, Luke 24:49)

WE BELIEVE in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life, separated from that which is evil.  The scriptures teach a life of “holiness without which no man shall see the Lord." The lifestyle of a believer and disciple of Jesus Christ should adhere to conduct which exalts our Lord and His Church.  (Hebrews 12:14, I Peter 1:5, Zechariah 4:6Romans 8:1-14 Romans 12: 1-3,1 Corinthians 6: 17,18, Ephesians 5: II)

WE BELIEVE that each believer is a priest of the Lord and has direct access to the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ.  Each person must believe for himself and be baptized for himself, answers to his Creator for himself.  (Revelations I: 6, Romans 6: I, II)

WE BELIEVE that the ordinance of baptism by immersion is commanded in the Scriptures.  All who repent and believe on Christ as Savior are to be baptized after their profession of faith.  Baptism is a declaration to the world that we have died with Christ and have now been raised also with Him to walk in newness of 1ife.  (Matthew 28:19.  Mark 16:16, Acts 10:47, 48, Romans 6: 1-11)

WE BELIEVE that the Lord's Supper, which is the bread and the fruit of the vine, is a memorial of the death and resurrection, and second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  We participate in Holy Communion in obedience to the words of Christ until His return.  (Luke 22: 13-20, I Corinthians 11:26)
