Our Benevolence Ministry is designed to meet the needs of our community! We encourage our congregation to serve and become involved through various events scheduled throughout the year. Connecting to our community is a fundamental belief and action within our ministry. We engage in the following areas to support our local community:
· Prison Ministry serves the Broward County Sheriff’s Office at Paul Rein Maximum Security Detention Facility in Pompano Beach. Each week, women of the church minister to the women incarcerated the maximum security facility.
· Mary’s Food Pantry has been created to honor the memory of Mary Michael, whose vision was to feed needy families in our local community. Each box distributed contains enough food to feed a family of four for several days. Mary’s Food Pantry feeds families all year long.
· Our J.O.Y Ministry, along with the Benevolence Ministry, supplies toiletries bags filled with necessities for the homeless. Each bag is delivered in person and handed out to homeless in the Coconut Creek area. More than 125 people each quarter receive needed items.
· Harvest Church Benevolence Ministry supports the following organizations on an ongoing basis:
Sonrise Mission Teen Challenge
Chaplain Training for Coconut Creek Florida
Easter Basket God’s Little Acres (45 Kids)
Feed The City creates more than 30 Holiday Thanksgiving Boxes to support the Coconut Creek Police Department and families in need of a pantry
Wish Upon A Star blesses more than 50 children each season with holiday gifts
